Maggie and her buckie

Unlike my sisters kids- none of my kids had any sort of attachment to a blanket, lovie or stuffed animal as a baby- until Maggie that is! John's Aunt Ann made us some matching blankets for the nursery which I had up on the side of the cribs to display because they were so cute- but Maggie would pull hers down every night to sleep with it. Now she rarely goes anywhere without it! It is not the smallest blanket in the world, and yet she drags this poor thing around everywhere she goes - like she is Linus.

The tooth fairy is coming to visit!

One of my babies has hit a milestone... my Anna Grace has lost her first tooth... sniff. My sweet and beautiful girl is heading to the snaggletooth phase! I was not ready for her to lose one of her cute little baby teeth ... I told her she is NOT allowed to get any bigger- she must remain my baby. She said she will do her best.

I have no idea what the tooth fairy gives for a first tooth but I assume it is more than the quarter I used to get when I was growing up.

The house

Things are moving along with the house quickly. They have started the dry wall- so it is really looking like a "house" now.

Tis the season of Dr appointments- every summer it seems that we have weeks on end of appointments. Last week Jack saw Dr Williams and he let us know we had the choice of either doing surgery soon to work on the right side of Jack's face where it is slightly "concave" or we can wait until his face grows, then about the age of 12 we would take muscle out of his leg or back and graft it to his face- this would be the more permanent option. The thought of no more surgery (on his face anyway) until then sounded just fine to us! We are already having to schedule surgery later this month on his testes or better known by Jack as his "circles". That should be fun. Next week he goes in to get the extender put on the roof of his mouth to start to spread out the upper teeth... this should also help with the look of his right cheek, we think. He is such a tough little guy to have to go through so much! Although when I look around at the other kids that are patients at the cranio facial clinic... we are so lucky. We are so thankful for our Jack!

2 blogs in one year... amazing!

I think I have figured out why I don't blog more... it is because I think my blog is really ugly. I have friends with the CUTEST backgrounds and pictures. I am going to have to do some research on how to make a cute blog... so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some pictures of our new home!

We are so excited as we are less than 2 months away from our house being completed. We have been blessed with a great rental house - right across the street from mom and Shannon- but we cannot wait to get settled in the new place!
